The Pacific for a Change

A break from the Chesapeake for some time on the left coast.

I am not sure if "Secret Beach" is the real name for this spot near Port Ludlow, Washington, but the cousins' name for it seems fitting.

Paddling with the Patuxent River Pirates

More from my Chesapeake From The Water series shot yesterday during a paddle with the Pirates of Patuxent (great meeting you all). After all my exploring of the Patuxent up north, it was nice to see where the river meets the bay.

Paddling Mallows Bay, MD

Paddling among a "ghost fleet" of sunken ships Mallows Bay on the Maryland side of the Potomac two things keep going through my head - This is way cool - and - Really, this is just big litter.

Second paddle of the season, but first of the season with my camera. I am putting it out to the universe, and the two people who actually read this blog, this will be the season that my Chesapeake from the water projects really takes shape. I have my camera setup for the kayak. I hope to stay healthy all summer. And I plan to be out on the water weekly (crossed fingers) collecting images of the Bay and its tributaries. So both of you, check back regularly.
