parade

My buddy Chaz at the Holiday Parade in Columbia.

self-defense

Fourth-degree black belt Cindi Rulon demonstrates a move during self-defense class at Blue Springs Fitness. Rulon has been teaching women how to defend themselves for 27 years. A victim of violence herself, she says her training helped her escape the attacker.

BMX on a slow day

Nothing like a BMX dirt track to fill a hole on a slow day. The kids could have been a little more animated, but I guess that was too much to ask for.

more baseball

I worked hard to get the dive back to first shot. Getting the eyes is the tough part. And I just love the kick.

Terin Humphry

Terin Humphry is an olympic medalist. She was teaching a class at the gym she attended growing up. I liked this one because she is watching an up-and-coming gymnist, Ivana Hong, who will probably be on the olympic team. The banner in the background has Terin on it.

Mallory

Part of a series on the K Crew. It was a fun day running around the Royal's stadium.

K Crew supervisor Mallory Lutz catches her breath in the crew locker-room at the end of the Royals game against the Marlins at Kauffman Stadium on Sunday. The crew spends the game running around the stadium giving away promotional items and interacting with fans. 6.17.07 Anthony Castellano
