Rob and Angela Hemwall bought Pierpont Farms 5 years ago. They had what Rob calls a "vague" notion to get into agriculture. In the last 5 years they have learned a lot from neighbors, books and trial & error. Rob says the farm has now turned into his passion.
They run a CSA (community supported agriculture) and are making improvements that will expand their growing season. Rob is building a greenhouse with long-time friend Jeff Brand who drives 2 hours to come and help. Rob has a full time job and has been working on the greenhouse during his free time.
On this day, Rob had to stop work a little earlier than usual to get cleaned up for the father-daughter dance he was attending with his daughter.
